Kettlebell Combo
- Pistol Squat with Bicep Curl to Overhead Press
- Pistol Squat to Stork Deadlift
Reverse order slowly and with great control to emphasize
skeletal deceleration (eccentric loading phase)
Perform as many reps as able to using exceptional technique throughout
each phase of motion, without compensation
Modify intensity and difficulty of each combo by varying the length of
the lever arm of both the upper extremity and the lower extremity.
(e.g. To increase difficulty, increase length of lever arm by
emphasizing full extension of the elbow throughout entire
movement and full range of motion of the hips and knee during
the squat to stork position).

Hey Brian. I love your stuff you really know how to spark the passion in me.
Spiderman for me.
Brian – bloody fantastic as usual. I’d love to be Spiderman too but since I ignored my rotator cuff impingement and it turned into microtears, I’m more like a dead spider! Can’t do ANY of the wonderful stuff you’ve shown us that I was just getting into.
Due to have cortisone injection on Friday – any suggestions or warnings?!
Oh and by the way. Presumably you think it’s OK for someone to squat (single leg or both) below the point where they can maintain neutral spine? That’s the benchmark I use with my older clients (which they all are because I am!) but I guess it depends on the strength, flexibility and muscle balance of the individual concerned? Your girl is making it look easy!!
Brian, Great stuff. Older dude so just call me SUPERoldMan……
KB combo: KB swing-Long jump……gets the heart going. Enjoy.
Brian, I liked the squat to the stork! Will be trying that one today!…….and is there any other answer on the Superhero question…….BATMAN!!!!
